Power of Words

Easter Love

On Easter we celebrate love,
love coming down from heaven,
love blanketing the earth
in a transforming embrace;
unique and infinite love,
giving more than we can imagine
for us, to cleanse our sin,
a perfect sacrifice, Lamb of God,
the walking, talking Word.
He is teacher, role model, friend,
this God in human form,
dying, then rising from the dead,
proving all who believe
will also rise
to have eternal life, with Him,
Lord of all.
Oh, Happy, Happy Easter!

Power of Words

Easter Means Eternal Life

A perfect God demands a perfect justice;
He cannot let us get away with sin.
We used God’s gift of our free will to trespass,
So heaven’s gates were closed; we couldn’t get in.

Our sin required our blood, a sacrifice,
To atone for all the wrongs that we had done.
“But I love them!” cried our Father, filled with sorrow;
“I’ll send my only Son to be the one.”

Good Friday marks the slaying of our Jesus,
The unblemished lamb, the perfect sacrifice.
He took our guilt and blame upon Himself,
So we could be with Him in paradise.

On Easter morning, he came back from death;
He vanished from the tomb, the empty grave.
His resurrection means eternal life
For us, the ones he came to earth to save.

This summarizes all the Easter story
And because of it, we’ll be with Him in glory.

Power of Words

This Life on Earth

Easter means that this life on earth
is not all there is.
Jesus went “to prepare a place for us”
in His Father’s heavenly mansions
for all eternity.
Jesus died for our sins,
paying our penalty,
so that we could be forgiven.
He was resurrected, to prove
that death has no hold
on those who repent
and accept Him as Savior.
This life on earth is a prelude
to eternal joy with our Lord.
Easter is a celebration
of our eternal destiny.

Power of Words

His Love

God sent His Son to take the punishment
For all the thoughtless, sinful things we do;
Jesus gave his life because He loves us;
His love is boundless, sweet, forever true.

On Easter morn He showed He is our Savior;
His resurrection proves He is our Lord.
That is why we tell you, “Happy Easter!”
He secured our heavenly reward!

Power of Words

Without Easter

Without Easter,
there would be no hope of heaven.
Without the hope of heaven,
there would be no repentance,
no personal transformation,
no attempt to follow biblical principles.
Without Easter,
the world would be in chaos
and darkness.
Jesus’ death and resurrection
means we can be reborn,
to live better, to do better,
to shine light into the shadows.
Happy, Happy Easter.

Power of Words

Celebrate Our Savior

On Easter morn, we celebrate our Savior;
Whatever people seek in Him, they find.
In history, there has never been another
So holy, sacrificial, good and kind.

His resurrection makes us all immortal;
In heaven, we’ll be together with our King.
Eternally we’ll share in all His blessings;
Happy Easter! Jesus Christ is everything!

Power of Words

He Lives

Happy Easter! Allelujah!
Jesus Christ, He lives!
Serve Him to receive salvation;
Eternal life he gives!

Power of Words“Champion”

Author Unknown

The average runner runs
until the breath in him is gone,
But the champion has the iron will that makes him carry on.

For the rest the average runner begs when limp his muscles grow,
But the champion runs on leaden legs,
his courage makes him go.

The average man’s complacent
when he’s done his best to score,
But the champion does his best,
and then he does a little more.

Power of WordsOde to the Champions

By Tom Krause

Who are these people–
These doers of deeds,
These dreamers of dreams
Who make us believe?

Who are these people
Who still win the day–
When the odds are against them
And strength fades away?

These people are champions,
For they never give in.
A heart beats within them
That is destined to win.

They follow their dreams
Through the journey seems far,
From the top of a mountain
They reach out to a star.

And when they have touched it–
When their journey is done–
They give to us hope
From the victories they won.

So here’s to the champions–
To all their great deeds.
They follow their hearts
And become winners indeed.

Power of Words

Carry On

At times when you feel troubled –
when happiness is gone –
look to the heart within you
for the strength to carry on.

In the heart you will find virtues
such as faith and hope and love.
Gifts that have been sent you
from a power up above.

It is faith that keeps on searching
for the joy the soul hopes for.
It is love that heals the spirit
making it stronger than before.

And should your heart be broken –
if your strength should fade away –
the power of these virtues
will still win out the day.

So remember when you’re troubled –
when happiness is gone –
look to the heart within you
for the strength to carry on.

We Hail, O Champion!

Power of WordsChampion, a word that denotes authority.
An attitude responsibility beckons.
Who acquires this crown?
Who qualifies?
A soldier born and bred to fight.

Wisdom, he applies.
Affection for his subjects, he delights.
Tears roll down, beholding them in pain.
When joy returns, he broadens his mouth.
O Wisdom, how great you rule!
Tyranny is obsolete in you.

Your everlasting reign, we pray.
Our allegiance, we pledge.
Though trials request a dirge.
A champion, you’re.
A leader, you’re.
True to your word.

At ease, we stand.
We kneel.
We bow.
Thus, we proclaim thee king.
We’ve witnessed thy falls.
We’ve accompanied thee to rise.

Your faith is strong.
Mighty as Samson’s bones.
You teach in wisdom.
Yea, you do.
Nations request to learn from you.
As Queen Sheba did Solomon.

Power of WordsThe Person That Is Me
by Tom Krause

If ever you should meet me –
the image you may see –
is just a mere reflection
of the person that is me.

The person I am really –
the one down deep inside –
is made of many feelings
which I sometimes try to hide.

Feelings of doubt & worry –
wondering how I will fit in.
Feelings of hope & longing –
that someday I might win.

Feelings of frustration –
for answers I don’t know.
Feelings for my loved ones –
relationships that grow.

Feelings of loss & loneliness –
of memories left behind.
Feelings of excitement –
for what I have yet to find.

So remember when you meet me
the image you may see
is just a mere reflection
of the person that is me.
