Remember our die-hard LDsquare contestant, Michael Feranmi? If yes, here’s his completed semi-final task. All friends, family, well-wishes of Michael Feranmi should start voting now – voting ends December 15th, 2015. His winning depends on your votes. To vote, click any of the stars at the top left of this post (immediately below the post-topic), where you have ‘Rate This.’ Mind you, the minimum number of stars to be clicked (for any contestant) is 3, which stands for average; it’s better not to vote than to vote any contestant poor. A person is limited to one vote, but can vote for as many contestants as he/she desires. See Michael’s task below.
Michael Feranmi has given us the permission to share all the below to the public.
His reason behind the name, Spending Spree
I had several options to choose from, but Spending Spree was the most appealing to me. Having studied the purpose, essence, features and derivable benefits of the card stated in the task, as well as visiting the Fortunes fundAMENTALS website, I chose Spending Spree especially because of one question in the entire task, which was: “Can spending be splendid?” So, from that questions, what I could derive from the entirety of the card was it makes spending fashionable, that’s why I even choose a slogan for it: “Spending just got fashionable.” The word ‘spree’ is normally associated with negative things, maybe because of its meaning, but I decided to make it mean something positive, influenced by a couple of other statement in the task: “Spend, we must, but no matter how loosely one makes money, human nature would rather have all things free! Indeed, payment cards make the spending process simpler but they don’t make spending any easier on the pocket than does spending cash! Isn’t it high time, then, we had an enriching payment solution that puts more in the pocket than goes out?” So, if I can spend without worrying that the money gone can never come back, then there’s no barrier to my spending, but all that’s now required of me is to spend reasonable – just like it’s alright to have a glass of red wine once in a while, but not a whole bottle on a regular basis.
So, there goes my explanation. I HOPE I WIN!
I use this opportunity to appreciate Champions’ Meal for organising this competition and Fortunes fundAMENTALS partnering with you, it has really helped me exercise my bran, both in designing and thinking. More grease to all your elbows (Champions’ Meal, Fortunes fundAMENTALS and LDsquare).
